Our Ethos
The differentia of La Boticá results from the careful selection of ingredients indigenous from the Dominican Republic and responsibly sourced ingredients selected from the far reaches of the earth. We believe through art; we are able to develop natural objects that become part of our rituals that also function as sophisticated art pieces. Our cleanly formulated fine fragrances are compositions of the transportive power of nature and perfumery. Combined with our approach of limited edition pieces and in-house production, we create experimental and sophisticated works made with you in mind from our studio. Through our partner, The Dream Project, a nonprofit organization focusing on providing high-quality education to under-represented children in the Dominican Republic. We have committed to donating a percentage of our profits to this organization. Our hope is that from these efforts, we help create a bright future for the children from these communities. Each product is hand-poured in small batches in our creative studio in Long Island City, NY.
Burning Instructions
Hold Palo Santo over an open flame or lit candle, tilting the end down at a 45-degree angle and slowly rotating the stick so that all sides are exposed to the flame. Once lit, let the wood burn visibly for 20-30 seconds, relighting as desired. Blow out the Palo Santo stick and allow it to smolder and fill the space with fragrant smoke.
Because of Palo Santo's resinous quality, the embers will self extinguish after a few minutes.
Once you feel you have cleansed the space, place the Burning Santo Palo in a fireproof bowl and allow it to fully burn out.
